Hey I need some help asap, my fiero gt ran perfect for the longest time, then one day I went to start it and it died a few times. But that is not all; after I got it started and warmed up, I went to work, and when I pressed the accelarator too hard it would almodt die. I am thinking that there could be water in the gas tank, or the air filter is clogged, but I am not sure. There is a splice in the negative battery cable, I don't think it hit any wires, but I moved it away from heat and metal and put electrical tape on it. I don't know if it would have anything to do with accelaration. My cat converter is 6 months old, so I know to check that off the list. I need some ideas on where to look. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I think it could be water in the gas tank, sounds like someting I had once before- DONT GO TO CHEAP GAS STATIONS- they often run out of feul in the ground, allowing water to be stored there. Water is then mixed with your gas. So stick with the basics- gas america, b ig foot, texaco, bp, and shell. Don't go to wal-mart, kroger, or any entrepreneurship gas stations around your town. So to all those who were looking for an answer, it was water.
