Water Pump

1992 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI 3.8 200,000km, Hi guys
I'm new at this. My car's computer light comes on saying low coolant. My husband has replaced the belts, changed the antifreeze. The car stills run hot and says the message. Do I need to replace the water pump or something else. Please help. Thanks guys.

Hi there,

Have the cooling system pressure tested, this will help determine any external coolant loss, as there are many places that the coolant can leak from, with many not readily visible, this test will help your mechanic find the leaks. Also have the pressure cap tested for release pressure as well.
