2001 Pontiac Bonneville oil guage

My oil pressure guage has gone to full pressure reading on guage. It performs the wough on start up and burys and running could it be the oil pressure sender itself or is the oil pump the culprit

I hav a 2ooo bonniville and same thing happened to me, oil press went to max, and it is the oil sending switch, which is common in these models, just change it,
