My car has been shaking on and off for about a month and now its worse.While driving it doesn't want to excelerate properly and the speed gages keep dropping and when I pull off the car shakes.What could be the problem?Do I need a major tune up or could it be my engine is going bad?

You always start with the basics...Complete tune up, all filters plugs, and wires, then if the Service engine light is on, get the codes read, Autozone reads em free, post any cods here.
