1996 Pontiac Bonneville Ignition Switch and Pass Key II Dec

As far as I know you would have to scan the car with a diagnostic tester, is the car not starting? I mean not cranking? If not do you have lights, radio, wipers etc?If so drop the gravel shield at the front of the engine bay and using a long screwdriver or a remote engine starter attempt to start car from underneath, w/key on crank it and if it starts then dies a couple of times its your vats system. The wires have probably broken in the steering coloum. If so, look at the web site"how to bypass the vats system" it worked for me. Good luck.
