I have a 95 Bonneville that has erratic oil pressure. It fluctuates, from 35 -50 psi while driving down the road at an even RPM and drops into the red at idle (sometimes) when it's warmed up. Sometimes it will idle at 15 to 20 psi, but more often than not it runs from 0 to just under 10 psi. I changed the PCV valve and am considering changing the oil pump, but wanted to see if anyone out there knew what might cause this?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge first to verify you have low oil pressure. It could be a bad gauge or sender.

i was wondering if you found out what it was? I thought it might be the Oil Sensor or the Oil Pump?
