1992 Pontiac Bonneville stalling/starting

I have a 1992 pontiac bonneville 3.8 v6 and recently my waterpump was leaking so I replaced the whole waterpump and since then when tying to start it I need to give it gas to start it and if I let go it dies and the check gauges light appears. Also while driving it dies if I do not give it gas I was hoping its just my fuel injectors or my mass air flow sensor WHAT IS IT?

Have you removed any sensors or disconnected any sensors or disconnect the battery while you were working on the water pump?

I did replace the water pump but no sensors were touched and the battery was left connected
