Hi! Just recently bought this vehicle and after driving between twenty five to thirty miles it started to have slow take off with high rpm's. Once rolling it shifts normal into the other gears. After some searching I finally figured out which transmission it has and found the dipstick. I let it warm up, went through all the gears and checked the fluid. It appeared to be at least a quart or more high past the full mark. I had the codes pulled and got PO700 and PO962. Is it possible the transmission being overfilled turned to foam and caused the problem setting the code or do I have more problems? I did drain some fluid and then had to top it back off to correct level. Haven’t taken it out on a long distance yet.

One thing before I start. The code PO962, the second digit is not a letter, it's a number 0. Just incase you ever search online, you will probably get zero results if you use a letter O.
Now about the P0700, that just sets when there is a code set for the transmission.
The P0962 sets when there is low current detected in the PC solenoid circuit.

Thanks! A lot of good information and seems a lot simpler your way than other ways I had found for checking the resistance. Not sure if this means anything but went for a drive today and took the same route so same amount of miles and stops and starts and no problem. Stopped for about twenty minutes and after starting up again the service engine light was off and stayed off. Shifted normal the rest of the drive.

Could have been a intermittent loose electrical connection on that circuit. You can wait and see if it comes back or wiggle the connections and see if you can recreate the problem so you will know where the loose connection is.
