1986 Plymouth Horizon

I recently replaced my altinator. I drove the car a few times after that was replaced. My battery went down and I had to jump the car. The car started, but when I removed the jumper cables, the car stopped running. does this mean my altinator is not working? How can I test this. Could I have wires on backwards?

Did you get this fixed yet? It's been 5 months so I hope so.

If not, a common problem is a corroded off ground strap. The alternator is mounted on rubber isolators to reduce vibration so it needs that ground strap.
