The cooling fan, that usually stays on for about 15 minutes after the car is cut off, is now coming on before the car is cranked. We have unhooked the battery and when we hook it back up the fan automatically comes on - before the car is ever cranked. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

First try replacing the fan relay. If that doesn't work, check the temp sensor. It may have shorted out.
