If your speed sensors are bad, then your car is "stuck" on second gear, or "limp mode". If it is, the sensors are located on top of your transmission. You may have to remove the intake box and computer to see them. The sensors are of different sizes, I don't remember which one is which, but the connectors are of different colors.

When you say you have obtained a computer module, are you referring to Transmission Control Module (TCM) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM)? You may need a TCM, but not PCM. There is no special way to install it, you just need to make sure that the numbers on both TCMs are the same as they are non-interchangeable. They make 4 different TCMs from '95 - '00. 1 bolt holding the connector, and 4 screws holding the TCM in place.
