1998 Plymouth Breeze My car stalls in the rain

Engine Performance problem
1998 Plymouth Breeze 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 169000 miles

My car works great. Except when it rains. If there is too much water on the road the car stalls. It just turns off. I took it to a mechanic who wraped wires for $169. This did not fix the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

On a dry decently warm day at least above freezing start vehicle.

From there take a spray bottle and fil it up with warm salt water and start vehicle.

Get vehicle warmed up and then slowly spray the electrical components. When vehicle hesitates youve foudn the problem area.
