The volt gauge goes all the way to the top when I start my car. I have replaced the car's computer with a new one and taken the alternator in for service/repair. I put the parts back in and the same thing is happening. Is there something I am missing? I have checked all the wires I could for shorts/breaks. Any help would be appreciated. It still is a very nice car in excellant condition.
It is a 2.5 litre engine,no torbo.
Thank you

Have you actually checked to make sure the gauge is correct? Also, I believe the voltage regulator is integral in the car's computer. You may have a bad connection there or another bad computer.
