Hi there, I've been enjoying your video series for your 454 BBC build. I'm just wondering what piston you selected for this build and what your final static compression ration will be?
I'm currently on video 10 and I don't think I heard you mention that anywhere.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the question and your interest in this series. I will forward this question to the group that is doing this build to answer your question as they don't regularly answer or view these questions. I will send them a link to this post so they post the answer here or I will if they just provide me the answer.

Thanks.

Hey Paul!

My name is Ryan, I am the guy in the videos. First off I wanted to say thank you for watching our engine series and having such an interest you came onto our site! Very cool!

Secondly, I talked all about pistons in episode 6 the link is right here for you:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbRdfZlCfiU

As for the pistons these are the ones we chose to work with our 110cc Edelbrock heads:

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/srp-212135-8

This combination should give us 9.5 to 1 compression ratio so we can run high octane pump gas and not the race stuff.

Thank you again for your interest and let me know if you have any follow up questions!

Best,
Ryan

Thanks Ryan, not sure how I missed that.

I've gone back and watched that video again and made note of the piston details.

Thanks for your reply and for including that information right in your reply. It prevented me from needing to go and look for it.
