Does the police interceptor comes with a PCV valve? If so would that be the reason why it's smoking when idling? Thanks

Welcome to 2CarPros.

It does have a PCV. The purpose of it is to help remove crankcase pressure. If you have excessive pressure from it, try replacing the valve and make sure the hose isn't broken. If that doesn't help, there may be excessive blow by. Basically, that means there is excessive compression bypassing the piston rings from wear.

Here are the directions for replacing the PCV. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube-to-PCV valve quick connect coupling and position the tube aside. For additional information, refer to Fuel System - General Information See: Fuel Line Coupler > Removal and Replacement.

2. NOTICE: A new Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve must be installed if removed. Upon removal, the plastic retaining ears of the PCV valve are sheared.

Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise and remove it from the valve cover.

- Discard the PCV valve.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new PCV valve.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
joe
