The light on my dashboard is saying it’s engaged and the release won’t work. I’ve tried helping pull the pedal up while pulling the release with no luck. When I put it in neutral the car rolls no problem so I think it’s more just an annoyance than anything. Any ideas on how to get my pedal up and warning lights turned off?

Also, I have a continuous blinker noise coming from near my glove box that only goes away when pressing the brakes. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Hi,

The cable may be frayed or the lever/pedal may be damaged. What I suggest first is to remove the cable from the pedal. See pic 1. If the lever will then return, we know it is a cable issue. If it still fails to return, then it is the lever assembly.

As far as the clicking, that sounds like a relay. If you look at pic 2, it shows the relay block. You need to simply locate the box and then cause the clicking to occur. Place your fingers or hand on the relays and you will feel which one is causing the sound.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
