Last week while driving my vehicle it stalled and would not start again. A few days later I had someone come and look at it. He discovered that there was no oil. He told me that the oil pan has a sensor that will shut down the vehicle that is low on oil so that you do not ruin your engine. Makes sense. We put in oil, still will not start. I went and rented a code reader from Autozone. It gave me the P1260 code, which is theft detected- vehicle immobilized. Also, a p1000- Monitor testing not completed.
I was told the P1000 is no big deal and that would not stop my engine from not starting. I have tried to reset the PATS and am not really sure if it worked. I used the key-less entry pad on the drivers door to unlock the doors, because someone said that would reset the anti theft. Still nothing. I have unhooked the battery. Nothing. I have called the dealership, but because the car is older then ten years they cannot help, he would not even give me advice on what I should or could do. I have fuel, I have spark, the engine turns over it just will not start. Not sure what I should do next. Any suggestions or help are appreciated.

There is no reset feature for PATS. There is a fault in the system somewhere that needs to be determined. The first thing I would try is a different key if you have one. If not you will likely need some reprogramming from the dealer.

The fobs are not connected. I am afraid you are going to need the dealer to resolve this. Your key may need to be reprogrammed or they may be a hard fault in the system.

The Ford dealership already told me because the car is older than ten years they cannot help. Is there another place I can go to get this done?

That is ridiculous. I have never heard of a dealer turning away work for their own make. Try a different dealer. They are the ones with the required equipment.

Had nothing to do with pats. He will run compression test tomorrow, but said my engine might possibly be fried from running it with no oil.
