The car runs absolutely perfectly. Starts right up, idles fine, and makes no noise. I changed the VVT solenoid and the cam sensor because they were inexpensive and easy to do. The code comes back immediately. Not sure what to do next. I would love some troubleshooting ideas. Let me know, thanks.

The diagnostic trouble code P0016 refers to a potential issue with the crankshaft position-camshaft position correlation. This code indicates that there is a misalignment or incorrect timing between the crankshaft and camshaft in the engine's timing system.

The specific cause of the P0016 code can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle. Here are a few common causes:

Timing chain/belt: A worn or stretched timing chain or belt can cause the camshaft and crankshaft positions to be out of sync.

Faulty camshaft or crankshaft position sensor: A malfunctioning sensor can provide incorrect readings, leading to the P0016 code.

Timing chain/belt tensioner: A faulty tensioner can cause the timing chain or belt to be loose, resulting in timing issues.

Engine mechanical problems: Issues with the engine's internal components, such as damaged valves or pistons, can affect the timing system.

Wouldn't the car run poorly if the timing chain jumped a tooth? Can the car still run good if the crank sensor is faulty? Is there any electrical/voltage checks I can make at the cam or crank sensor? Lmk. Thanks
