Was having problems with the pass lock security over winter. Was told if I can get it to start and remove the pass lock module with it running that it would permanently delete the system. Fast forward to now. The alternator went out causing the fuel pump to run the battery down and stall. I replaced the alternator charged battery and now when I go to start it, it runs for a second and does. Cuts fuel supply. Has a code p1626 fuel enable theft code. What do I do to finish off disabling this system? Is an old work truck don't need though I was done with this. There is no module in it.

There are a number of different ways to do this, but I am going to attach the process from the manual that will deactivate the system. I am not sure this will work with the module out, so it is worth a try.

If you still have the module, you can try installing it again and see if this works. Also, if you install the module again, you can try your trick again which is clever, and I didn't know that it works.

The other method of doing this is getting a PCM that has this system deleted. Basically, the PCM will just look for ignition switch input and start the engine rather than waiting for the proper security issue.

Please run through this info and let me know what questions you have and what happens with this process. Thanks
