The coolant was leaking through the plastic attached to the side of the engine which is connected to the pipes from the coolant reservoir. i replaced the plastic and the leakage had stopped but still overheats when i turn on the air conditioner just as it overheats when it was leaking. Need your advice on what to do next.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First, when you turn the AC on, does one of the cooling fans under the hood turn on and run? Does this problem only happen when the vehicle is in stop and go traffic or does it also happen at highway speed? Are there any leaks? When it overheats, does it actually boil over or does it just indicate it at the gauge? How long does it take for the overheating to occur?

I attached a picture of the cooling fans which are mounted on the radiator. See if one turns on when the AC is engaged.

Let me know.
