I just finished installing new water pump, new fan clutch, new radiator fan and new radiator. Truck was running fine then it overheated. I put water to it and the engine made a very loud very hard pop and now there is a valve tapping sound and it smoking a lot. Is there any hope for resolving this problem and saving this engine?

It sounds like the engine blew a head gasket but to be sure lets try this test.

There is a product called Blue Devil to seal head gaskets many people have had good luck with let me know what the test brings.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken
