engine started overheating while driving, steering wheel locked up and now there is a loud rattling sound

while driving down the road the engine light came on and starting saying it was over heating then the steering while locked up. When I turned off the air everything calm back down, but then I made it home and there is a loud rattling sound now.

have this looked at locally. you may have blown a head gasket or hose and overheated so much it did other damage.
