So on my truck listed above (Super Duty) was over heating coming home from work. L replaced the thermostat but it still overheating. Cleaned the outside of the radiator. Still over heating. Took it to auto shop. They said it was the temperature sending unit and replace it and serpentine belt. Still overheating and now after this shop worked on it, when I put the truck in drive it seems to bog down and is running real rough. It seems like it is running worse now than before I took it in. I am not sure what they could have done to it to make it run worse.

This sounds like you could have a blown head gasket which will cause the issues you are describing. Please go over these guides and report back.

Took it to a different shop and the conclusion they came up with was that I had a misfiring in one cylinder and the coil was bad. So it was shorting out and sending a false reading to the temperature gauge that the engine was overheating.
