I assume the handle is broken or the cable inside the vehicle is broken as this is most common.
When this breaks the handle inside the vehicle normally feels like nothing is attached.
If this is the case, you need to remove the handle and find out if the cable is still attached. If it is not, then grab it with pliers and you will be able to pull the release and pop the latch.

If the cable is attached, then the cable is broken which means we need to pop the latch from through the grill. This is not easy so let's get to that after we check this out.
