Hi there,

I have a problem with my clutch, it just went loose for some reason, I was advised it could be the Clutch master cylinder, however I also found a leak of brake fluid on the pipe going into the clutch master cylinder where the clutch is bled. The clutch pedal comes back up but there is no pressure, it is just loose so I cannot change into the gears.

It sounds like the line or internal seal has failed which can happen. I would replace the unit (all in one) and that should fix the problem.

Here is a guide that can help as well.

Some clutches have a pedal return spring, but if you have little or no pressure and signs of fluid leak, I would be looking at the master cyl, if it is wet where the push rod goes in, it will be leaking and need replacing.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers

Yes that is actually my situation, thanks for the feedback.

Furthermore I also had an issue with my fuel rail, it had a leak so I had to replace it however I have not tested if it is working, so I need advise on replacing the fuel rail does it also require that there is no air in it if so how do I bleed it or remove the air.

Basically if it is petrol it will self bleed, if diesel you will have to bleed system, normally if the filter is full, just crack injector lines and crank until you see fuel pulsing out.

Check for where the leak is, master or slave cylinder, replace what is faulty, re bleed the system.
