The heat only gets hot when the thermostat opens. I put a new 195 F thermo in and have flushed everything. All paths run free and clear with a water hose running through. The bleeder at the bifocation on the water pump blows mostly steam when the engine warms up. The hose to the heater core at the bifocation stays relatively cooler than the short hose above it going to the manifold. If I run the motor a short time and remove the heater hose from the bifocation it has a tremendous pressure but little water. When cold and running I took off this hose and added water at the radiator. It seems to pour out as the level comes up to the bifo with just a slight pumping action in the flow. Shouldn't the pump be blowing it out at this point? I have never seen a water pump not pump before. All I have seen for failure is the bearing goes and leaks. It's getting cold and I need some heat please help.
