1989 Other Oldsmobile Models Turn signals and Brake Lights

1989 Other Oldsmobile Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The car turn signals (left and right) work but the brake light on that side also flashes. The lens is a two color lens (amber and red) with two separate bulbs.The car will not pass inspection because they say the turn signal must flash and the brake light must remain on, the brake light cannot flash with the turn signal.

If you look on the left side of the trunk, have a look at the wiring harness for corrosion or damage...also check the pigtail thats the light socket, for the same, and make sure you have the right bulb in the brake light pigtail!
