Yesterday vehicle began idle surging and all lamps came on in intervals, beginning with ABS lamp, then oil, battery, airbag, service engine, etc. Gage showed overheating although engine was relatively cool. Fuel gage swung wildly between empty and 1/2 tank. Upon takeoff from complete stop, engine bogged and then surged, after about 30 seconds would smooth out to normal driving but all lamps continued to show and gages giving bunk readings. I figured at this point there was a battery problem. Returned home and popped hood to find "leading parts store" battery was leaking acid from seals. Connectors not corroded at all. Replaced with new battery. Lamps still flashing all around, engine bogging on takeoff still. Let car idle in driveway for nearly 30 minutes, test drove around the block and same deal as before. Car sat overnight, battery is completely dead this morning. Jumping will probably help this but I need to know how to reset ECM after battery replacement. Thank you for your assistance in advance -

First I think you should do some tests on the alternator. Most vehicles automatically reset when the battery is disconnected for 15 minutes or so. Your alternator may be producing too much or too little charge for your batt.
