Engine Cooling problem
1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Automatic

Is there a possibility that you can check the wear and tear of your cooling fan if the car is not running? I was told that the reason my fan put a hole in my radiator is because the bearings on the fan were going bad and it pushed against the radiator. I took the fan to the radiator shop and they didnt see any problems with the bearings.

With the car off, grab the fan blade and see if it has any slop or movement towards the radiator. Should feel tight, ifit moves towards the radiator it may have bad bearings or the fan blade itself may be damaged at the mounting flange

When the car is on and the fans are running, are the fans supposed to push towards the radiator and spin or do they stay in the same place and spin?
