I get this error code for the car and I read it could just be a solenoid problem. The only problem is that I have no clue where the solenoid is located at. I was wondering where it was located at to find out if I can do it myself or need to bring it in. I have done other repairs on the car myself like replacing the alternator.I hated that lol. So difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

This code refers to the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve and it's sending an "Off" signal to your PCM.

There has to be an underlying condition as to why this code is tripping. Usually it's from a low fluid level or a overheating condition that will set your tranny into "Limp" mode.

You can start by checking your tranny fluid level. If it's low, fill it. If it's fine, check color and smell for evidence of burning.

If so, replace the fluid and filter. If the solenoid doesn't act faulty for three drive cycles, the code will clear itself.

If this doesn't fix your problem, then you'll need to have the experience to pull the tranny to access this valve. If you don't, then there's not much you can do but take it to a shop, and I recomend against that, as it will be cheaper and make more sense to buy another tranny and have it installed.
