I have lost control of the heat function. In the summertime I will be driving down the road nice and cool when the system swithes to heat - high heat. It cycles from cool to hot every few minutes, however, the temp inside the car rises a little each cycle.
In the winter when the heat is on the same cycle occurs. No matter where I se the climate control in still cycles. What's up?

It sounds like a blend door or blend door motor problem. Now if you feel comfortable enough with doing some testing and have a digital multi meter we do some tests to make sure. Here is a pic of what I am refering to.

Ok it looks like we need to check the in vehicle temp sensor by doing an ohms test and you need to know the temp of the inside of the vehicle at the time of the test. It is located behind the dash on the right side of the steering column. So unplug the sensor and do an ohms test on the sensor (not the harness) and the temp of the inside of the car at the time and I will check to see it is in spec. Here is a pic of what it should look like or very close too.

I'm having a challenge locating the temp sensor for the ohm test. Is it tin the cabin?
I did subscribe to a repair manual through eAutoRepair if that would be of help pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks
Doug

As I have said it is inside the car behind the dash just to the right (passanger side) of the steering column. If you still don't find it let me know and I will see if I can find a diagram that shows its location.
