Check the oi pressure with a oil pressure check guage. A good thing to compare it to is at least 10 pounds per 1000 rpms on the tach. Shouldnt be more then 20 pounds per 1000 rpms. It will be higher when the engine is heated as the clearences in the engine are tighter, when the engine heats up clearences will either get tighter or looser, causing the pressure to go down or up.
