When you switch on engine the low oil pressure warning comes on, so switch engine off then restart no warning. i had sump pan oil pick up seal replaced and lower oil pan sensor last week. any ideas as to why this warning could still come on when I switch back on there's no warning and car runs fine?

hello,

It sounds like oil pressure sensor defected or its wire, lower oil pan sensor that is replaced measures the oil quantity, you have an oil pressure problem.

To detect if the problem from the oil pressure sensor or the from the engine install oil pressure gauge if the pressure found okay then the problem appears from the oil pressure sensor itself.

Check the link below how to fix low oil pressure.

Thank you.
