While driving the car started leaking a large amount of oil and then shut off, no crank no start?

It sounds like the oil filter seal let go or the oil pan drain bolt fell out and dumped the engine oil out and not the engine is locked up and needs to be replaced. To be sure you can use a breaker bar on the front of the engine to see if it will move by hand. I have included where to put the breaker bar. Check out the images (below). Does the engine crank over? (Starter working)

I would try moving the engine by hand and if it turns it sounds like the starter has gone bad but to be sure let's test for power at the starter motor trigger wire, this guide can help:
