Oil light comes on when I am braking

Absolutely. There should absolutely no reason why your oil filter would be leaking. Often times what will cause this to happen is when whoever is doing an oil change they will forget the old oil filter gasket and it will stick to where the oil filter goes. Not realizing this, or not taking the time to check, which is more like it, they will install the new oil filter and tighten it but it will be double gasket, and leak. The only other way it will leak is if it got crushed somehow, or it didn't get hand tightened, either way, whoever did your oil change is responsible for correcting it, free of charge, and any damage that may have happened to your vehicle's engine. Does the light only come on at an idle or does it do it when at higher than idle RPM's? Do you see any leaks? Have you checked oil level? Also, what brand oil filter was used. I've seen the light come on with an inexpensive filter.

Let us know. The most important thing is to make sure there are no leaks and when the light is on, make sure there are no engine noises such as ticking or knocking.
