The vehicle started to overheat, noticed a crack in the reservoir, sealed it then immediately smelled oil burning and started to smoke. Shut down while moving on popping the hoods there's oil over everything and it looks as though it came from behind the front valve cover but in front of, I guess the air intake. How should I proceed?

You are not kidding, that is an oil leak alright. Can you start the engine and see where it is coming from? Make sure the engine has oil in it first. I have seen the oil pressure sender crack and spray oil everywhere which is located near the harmonic balancer. This guide can help, and I have included a guide that may help as well:

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Okay, it starts right up but billows of white smoke comes out the exhaust and there is oil in the air filter. Like half a quart.

How does the engine seem to run? Also, if you start the engine can you see oil spraying up from somewhere? Can you please upload a short video of the engine running so I can see what's going on?
