I am not sure why the dipstick would need to be replaced so it would depend on the reason why they are saying it needs to be replaced.
What I would do is inspect the oil using the dipstick and see if it is there and it works. Here is a guide that talks about this.

If the dipstick is there and gives an accurate reading, then it would not need to be replaced.
Please see the process from the manual below on how to check the oil and some additional info on pressure and leaks in case that is needed as well.
