I'm getting oil in the air box, air pushes out when the oil cap is removed while running, and it will run high RPMs and stay in passing gear without shifting out correctly. Also can hold foot over exhaust easily while it's running as well.

Hi,

The first thing I recommend is to check the PCV system to make sure it isn't plugged. PCV stands for positive crankcase ventilation. It is how pressure is released from the crankcase. It gets vented into the intake manifold to be burned.

If you look at pic 1, it shows the location. Check to make sure it isn't plugged. Also, make sure the hose itself is clear and not plugged.

If that is clear, you may simply have excessive blow-by due to piston ring wear based on mileage.

Check the PCV and let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
