Overdrive light flashing

Hi Eddie,

This could be caused by a number of things ranging from a loose connector to a internal transmission problem. To narrow down the field a bit we need to get some more information from you.

Does the vehicle shift into overdrive at all? And if so, does it kick out of Overdrive when the light flashes? If it does shift into O/D, can you operate the button to make it kick out of O/D manually and then press it again and make it go back in?

Are you also getting a Check Engine light when this happens?

Do you notice any driveability problems with the car when you drive it? Erratic shifts etc?

Are you able to scan the vehicle for any trouble codes? Those would be very helpful here.
