Hi,

What code was found? Also, is it the same code that comes back when you add fuel?

If your scan tool has a live data setting, do me a favor. Tell me what the short-term fuel trims are when it's working properly. Then, when you add fuel to the tank, check them again and let me know what they are. Also, let me know the specific codes that were found.

Take care,

Joe

I better start from the beginning. I got a code reading po 155 saying 02 sensor heater circuit bank 2 sensor 1. I replaced the sensor by the cat converter. Erased code came back on after about forty miles l cleared it again, stayed off put gas in came on. I don't know if this would make a difference, but I did put in a Techron gas booster. Sometime during this period can't remember exactly when. Don't have a live data setting.

Hi,

I just need a better understanding. Does the light come on when you remove the fuel cap and add fuel, or does it seem that doesn't always happen?

I attached a pic below identifying the oxygen sensors. Is the highlighted one what was replaced? Were any other codes retrieved?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

Yes, if it is the one after the catalytic converter (number 1 in the pic), you replaced bank 1 sensor 3. I am basing it's the wrong one on what you mentioned above. "OBD port called 4 02 sensor heater circuit bank 2 sensor 1."

The one I highlighted is bank 2 sensor 1.

Let me know if you have questions or if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

You are very welcome. I just hope I helped. As far as the sensors, they don't fail that way. You could have one bad today and then never have a problem for many miles or never again.

If possible, let me know how things turn out. I'm interested in knowing and want to make sure it's fixed. If it isn't, hang in there and one way or another, we'll get it taken care of.

Take care of yourself.

Joe
