Nothing except check engine light when turning key?

So, the other day I tried to start the car and it acted like the battery was drained. I tried jumping it and all that would happen was all the dash lights on, nothing else. Replaced starter and now all I'm getting is a check engine light when I try to start nothing else. Not even other dash lights. No click, no crank, nothing. Not sure where to start.
