Transmission not shifting into gear

While driving it became hard to shift then it quit shifting all together. I was told to replace the shifting cable, so I did. Now, it has a new shifting cable but still doesn't want to shift. It's like it wants to but isn't catching. Please help. Thanks.

Good morning,

Do you mean shifting from park into any gear? If not, do you mean upshifting while you drive?

Can you be more specific as it makes a big difference?

Okay, the first thing I would check is the fluid level. I attached the procedure below for checking the fluid level and condition.

Fluid seems to be in good standing order. I kind of fiddled with the shifting cable and managed to get it to shift between neutral and reverse today though...
