It will start up but shuts off, the motor got wet in the rain it is showing two codes p0171 and p1685. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The p0171 code is for mixture and won't keep the car from starting. the P1685 code is the one that says the car doesn't recognize the key, do you have a spare key by chance? I would try that, or let's try to hard reboot the system, remove the negative battery cable and hold it against the positive battery terminal for 1 minute, this will discharge all capacitors helping the system clear itself out and restart. Also, when you try to start it does the security light flash? If so, this guide can help fix it:
