Lately there as been a static/electrical short noise near the steering wheel, opened rubber piece just below the ignition and found it is the deterrent exciter/pass-key module. Ordered new one, but do not know if it could be something else? If I am right is there any programming needed?
Thank you for any assistance you can give.

It sounds like it could be the clock-spring. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise, that would be great? You can upload it here with your response. That why we will not have to guess. Cheers, Ken
