Hi,
First, the I30 isn't offered in the US. However, I believe it is the same as our Elantra Touring.
The noise you are hearing is a rubber bushing. We just need to determine which one it is. Since it is most obvious when bouncing the vehicle, chances are it is related to the front sway bar.
I attached a pic below showing the front suspension on the Elantra Touring. I highlighted the sway bar bushings (number 18 in the pic) and what is called a stabilizer link (number 20 in the pic). There is a link on both sides of the vehicle.
First, check the bushings (#18) for deterioration, being out of round, or damaged in any way. They should fit tight in the mount and around the stabilizer bar.
If they appear good, check the stabilizer link the same way. Note that on one end of the link is a joint referred to as a ball joint. They can become loose and make noise as well.
If it's possible. Have a helper bounce the car and get as close as you can without being crushed and see if you can identify approximately where the noise is coming from. My first suspect is the bushing (#18) on the side of the vehicle making the noise. However, if you hear a clunking sound, it could be the stabilizer link.
To check the link, inspect it the same way. Also, grab it and see if there is play.
If I had to guess, I would suspect the bushing, based on sound. That is number 18 in the pic. If you do suspect it, spray some penetrating oil into where it touches the stabilizer to see if the sound stops.
Let me know what you find.
Joe
