Loud noise from rear once car slows down. Worse when stopping. If pavement is wet. Little or no noise.

If being on wet roads diminishes the noise, it is most likely being caused by cupping wear in the tires. Front wheel drive cars tend to do that on the rear tires if they are not rotated frequently. The best way to resolve that is to replace the tires but if you were to rotate them to the front, the noise would temporarily get louder but begin to diminish.
