One evening I didn't have any low beams. It's a work truck and doesn't get driven much after dark. Well another dark trip now no low beams or high beams but, if I pull back on the dimmer switch I have lights. Now that also has left me in the dark. I heard that Dodge had problems with their headlight switches and upon inspection the switch had a meltdown. My question is, it possible that my pulling back on the dimmer may have caused the meltdown and is it possible that the dimmer is damaged as well. Thanks for any input?
is it hard to replace the signal/dimmer switch?

Hi,

Chances are holding the multi function switch had nothing to do with the problem. I would simply replace the switch. Here are the directions for replacement. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

Also, there is a chance the fuse blew for the lights. It is in the power distribution box under the hood. I attached a pic for you to identify fuse number. (pic 3)
