No electrical power? Tried charging battery?

I left the cabin light on overnight and didn’t drive the car for another day after that. The car was completely dead when I went to start. Tried jumping it without success. Tried charging battery and tried again. Still dead. I then put a new battery in and tried but nothing. I checked all the fuses, and they are good. Any advice please. Really frustrated.

How are the battery cables, are they corroded? This will cause the electrical power not to be generated to the car.
