No crank, no start

I drove car about 20 miles, then parked it in my driveway. After 5-10 minutes, i attempted to start car again. no crank, no start, no dashboard lights, nothing! Lifted hood, and while "looking around" heard a slightly loud "click" sound. do not know where it came from. ? Attempted to start car again and it started this time. Since i'm crippled, i'm afraid of getting stranded if this happens again in future. Do you have any suggestion about a faulty, sticking, switch or sensor that could be causing this? Many thanks from my "anxiety switch"..

Hi,

Since the starter wouldn't engage, the first thing that comes to mind is the starter relay. They do make a clicking sound when actuated.

Under the hood on the driver's side of the vehicle is the fuse/relay box. The starter relay is located there. I attached a picture to help you locate it.

I can't guarantee this is the problem, but since it started after hearing a click, it leads me to believe it is.
