A wrong key fob was mistakenly used to try to start the van. After the error was discovered, the right key fob when then used but the van would not start or crank. The security light now flashes, and the van will not crank. I have disconnected battery terminals and done other security reset procedures to no avail.

Hi,

When you use the correct key, does the switch fully turn? If it doesn't or stops you before it reaches the start/run position, the Sentry Key Immobilizer (SKIM) feature of the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) isn't recognizing the key. Do you have a spare key to try? Have you scanned the system to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes stored?

Let me know. If you check, I have a feeling you will find a B1A29 code stored. However, I need to know that for sure before sending you on a wild goose chase. LOL

Let me know.

Joe
